⁹ They came up over the surface of the earth and surrounded the encampment of the saints, the beloved city. Then fire came down from heaven^[a] and consumed them.^{(A) 10} The Devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are,^(B) and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.^(C)

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence, and no place was found for them.^(D)
